Does this account for first purchases?

No. It only estimates repeat conversions from the same user after the initial click. First-order attribution is assumed unchanged.

What if affiliates drive fewer repeat buyers?

Lower the repeat rate input to reflect your audience. The loss scales directly with the repeat rate you provide.

Can I model cashback or coupon stacking?

Yes—fold the net commission after cashback into the commission rate input so the output reflects your actual payout obligation.

How should I pick the benchmark window?

Use competitor program terms or network averages. Many retail programs sit between 15 and 30 days, while travel can be longer.

  • Result unit: U.S. dollars for lost commission plus the count of repeat orders falling outside your cookie window.
  • The model assumes repeat purchase behavior within the benchmark window and scales capture rate linearly with cookie length.
  • Defaults: 10% commission, 7-day cookie, 30-day benchmark, and 25% repeat rate. Leaving blanks uses these values automatically.
