FAQ
What if I plan multiple terms?
Run the calculator separately for each planned block of credits. Use the output as the GPA target for the next term, then update your cumulative GPA and credits before the following term.
Do pass/fail courses count?
Most institutions exclude pass/fail credits from GPA calculations. Only include graded credits that affect your quality points.
How do repeated courses impact this?
If repeats replace the earlier grade, adjust your completed credits and GPA after the repeat to keep the projection accurate.
Additional Information
- Result is the minimum GPA for the next term to reach your target cumulative GPA.
- If the required GPA exceeds 4.0, you may need additional credits or repeated courses to recover.
- Remember that repeated courses often replace previous grades depending on institutional policy.
- Include summer or intersession credits by adding them to the upcoming credit load.
