A/B Test Conversion Lift Calculator
Forecast the impact of an A/B test by plugging in control and variant conversion rates. The calculator reports absolute and relative lift plus the incremental conversions and revenue per month using optional traffic and AOV defaults.
For directional planning only; validate results with a proper experiment design and significance test.
Examples
- 2.4% baseline vs. 3.1% variant, 20,000 visitors, $140 AOV ⇒ Absolute lift: 0.70% • Relative lift: 29.17% • Incremental conversions/month: 140 • Incremental revenue/month: $19,600.00 USD.
- 1.8% baseline vs. 2.0% variant with default visitors and $120 AOV ⇒ Absolute lift: 0.20% • Relative lift: 11.11% • Incremental conversions/month: 20 • Incremental revenue/month: $2,400.00 USD.
FAQ
Can I use signups instead of orders?
Yes. Replace the average order value with the revenue per signup or customer lifetime value proxy you prefer.
Does this prove statistical significance?
No. It translates rates into business impact. Use a separate significance test to validate the result.
What if the variant underperforms?
If the variant rate is lower than baseline, the absolute and relative lift will be negative, showing lost conversions and revenue.
Additional Information
- Result unit: percentage lift plus incremental conversions and USD revenue per month.
- Defaults assume 10,000 monthly visitors and a $120 average order value when traffic inputs are left blank.
- Relative lift divides the absolute difference by the baseline rate; absolute lift is simply variant minus baseline.
